Join our IUSBee from 3-5 on September 10 in Fireside! Busy Hands of Michiana creates special, therapeutic, and comforting items distributed through 120 agencies in 8 counties: Alzheimer’s and autism, cancer patients, nursing homes, hospice patients, homeless, children, infants, and veterans. In 2020, Busy Hands distributed 25,340 items involving 20,861 hours of volunteer labor. No fee is ever charged. See photos/info at: https://busyhandsofmichiana.org/ and join their Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/BusyHandsOfMichiana.
No experience needed! If you know how to tie a knot or how to knit or crochet– come! If you have time to make a red, white, and blue afghan for veterans in a long-term care facility, it must be 32-36 inches wide X 45-55 inches long. You can also get jump-started on hats, mittens, scarves, and shawls. Contact brenphil@iusb.edu or copmille@iusb.edu if you need more details or patterns.
