Celebrate National Poetry month with the words of local poets at the Poetry Den.
April is National Poetry Month. Celebrate it with the words of local and regional poets at The Poetry Den. Join and listen, or share your own verses with a friendly and inviting crowd.
To share your words in this safe and welcoming space, send a message to sign up for the open microphone. Poets may perform in-person at the CRHC (masked at all times, including during your performance) or at home via Zoom.
After the open microphone poets take their beat, stay to hear this month’s featured poet:
Lori Caskey-Sigety is an artist, author, editor, librarian, musician, poet, teacher, and writer. She lives in a 115-year-old house in Mishawaka with her husband, Steve, and four pampered cats. Lori is also inspired by her memory garden that she created in 2010. Her newest collection of poetry, Home, is scheduled for release later in 2021.
The Poetry Den is free and public participation is encouraged. Because some poets may use mature language, attendance by those 18 and over is encouraged.
