With the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) transitioning to a new central website as part of its NextGen initiative, the office announced Monday that it will be retiring the use of the FSAID.ed.gov website and any associated links will direct to StudentAid.gov starting April 25. The soon to be retired site was where borrowers and their families went to create and manage their FSA IDs. FSA noted that since the launch of the new website in 2019, most borrowers and families have created and managed their FSA IDs using the newer platforms, including the myStudentAid mobile app. The automatic redirects will be in place for at least one year, FSA added.
