The Major Samuel Woodfill Chapter 2021 Scholarship Program
The Major Samuel Woodfill Chapter announces its 2021 Scholarship Program for Children and Spouses of U.S. Army Soldiers in the Global War on Terrorism, Army Soldiers and Army Veterans who are currently serving or have served in the Global War on Terrorism, and Family Members of AUSA Members who belong to the Major Samuel Woodfill Chapter in that priority.
Priority is given to residents of Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky, and Southwest Ohio. $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2021-2022 academic year. The scholarship program is available to first-time freshman and returning college students. The scholarship can be used for tuition and fees, and room and board.

Second Outside Scholarship Opportunity:
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated commemorated 100 years of transforming lives on January 16, 2020. The South Bend Graduate Chapter, of this trailblazing sorority, is proud to be part of this transcending organization which was founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. Through the vision of our courageous Founders, we strive to affect positive change in the community and encourage the highest standards in the achievement of academic excellence.
To honor the legacy of the five founding members, we will award a scholarship of $2,020 to one graduating minority female senior at a South Bend high school or to one minority female college student currently attending one of the following: University of Notre Dame, IUSB, Ivy Tech, Saint Mary’s College, Bethel College, or Holy Cross College. Qualifications include:
- a minimum G.P.A. of a 3.0
- full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university in Fall 2021.
- completed scholarship application
- two letters of recommendation from a teacher and a personal friend or acquaintance
- a signed statement from your Guidance Counselor & your most recent transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
- highlights of community service acts/involvement
- goal statement & personal essay
Please note – affiliation with any member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated or any of its auxiliary organizations is not an eligibility requirement for this scholarship. The completed packet must be submitted by April 16, 2021. Late applications will not be considered.
