Be ready for upgrade to Exchange Online
Approximately 40 Exchange accounts are scheduled to be upgraded this month (February). Please note that a majority of Exchange accounts will be moved in April.
If you are one of the 40 accounts to be moved this month, then you should have already received an email explaining the steps you need to take to complete the upgrade and to make sure your transition goes smoothly – these emails are not spam. Please be sure to read the email completely. If you are unsure if an email is spam or a phishing attempt, contact the IU South Bend Support Center – helpdesk@iusb.edu for confirmation.
***You may receive some licensing emails from Office 365 that state new features (e.g. Audio Conferencing) are available in your subscription. Nothing needs to be done in regards to these emails.
Exchange, which hosts the Outlook email client, will soon be upgraded to Exchange Online. The Exchange Online migration will improve IU’s email security and provide advanced threat protection settings. Exchange Online also integrates directly with Microsoft Teams, allowing you to schedule meetings and see your calendar along with Free/Busy information.
For more information on the Exchange Online migration see the Knowledge Base (KB) – https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahza
