Academic Affairs seeks a faculty member to serve as Director of Adult Learning Services starting January 4, 2021. The Director of Adult Learning Services will work with academic programs across campus to develop and promote programs tailored to adult students seeking higher education credentials including degree completion, skills acquisition, industry certifications, and/or retooling for the workplace. The Director of Adult Learning Services also works with Mike Mancini, Director of Continuing Education to offer programs and courses that are relevant to the needs of the local economy. The Director of Adult Learning Services will identify and work with community partners to determine educational needs of employees in all sectors of the local economy including health care, technology, business, education, non-profit, and service industries. The director will build and expand on the work already done by Mike Mancini in the Office of Continuing Education.
The position is open to IUSB faculty. It will be a half time position, with one course release per regular academic semester and a summer stipend. Interested faculty should send a letter of interest to Academic Affairs along with an updated c.v. with names of three campus references.
