Do you want to use writing in your courses but don’t know where to start? Do you worry about how to grade papers fairly? Does the thought of a stack of ungraded essays wake you up in the middle of the night?
I’m here for you! As the new Campus Writing Program Director for CITL, I help instructors integrate writing into their courses. This means that I can assist you at any stage—from designing an Intensive Writing course, to crafting specific assignments, to grading efficiently. I am happy to meet with you individually or in a group setting.
I also promise to understand your particular needs as an instructor. I come (back) to IU after serving as an Associate Instructor for the IU English Department and, most recently, after teaching as a faculty member at Ohio Northern University. In addition, I have been an adjunct instructor for several area universities. I will be sure that my advice makes sense for your professional needs and goals. Please contact me via email or at 855-7289 if you’d like to talk about writing in your courses. Know a colleague who might benefit from this information? CITL encourages you to forward this information to colleagues as well.
