Have you ever accidentally deleted a file or an assignment instead of renaming or moving it? Did you know there is a “hidden” undo feature in the Canvas environment? If you have mistakenly deleted a file, page, rubric, announcement, etc. (even if a few days have past) go to your Canvas course home page the material was removed from. Type “/undelete” at the end of the home page URL.
Ex: Homepage URL Ex: /undelete
This will populate a list of the last 20 items you have removed from your course. Find the item that was mistakenly removed and choose “restore”. That’s it. No more recreating lost work, no more tough lessons… in Canvas anyway.
