Author Gretchen Rubin has a quote, “The days are long, but the years are short.” Translated to college life, “The days are long, but the semesters are short.” Cultivating intentional time to reflect on your journey and what you want to get out of your college experience is hard to do. I’ve heard it in the wistful comments of recent alumni who come back to campus, “I wish I’d made more time to….” or even from current seniors who say “My friends and I made a bucket list for this year.”
I sat in in on a section of ASCS-Q295, a course designed to help students create intentionality within their lives. The class provides students, through reflective and immersive assignments and activities, the opportunity to truly think about what’s important to you and what you want out of college, and ultimately, your life. You might consider taking this in the second 8 weeks if you’re looking for a way to frame your next few years. Some folks need a trainer to stick to an exercise routine…think of this class as your trainer for thinking the Big Thinks about your path.
Here’s a press release about the course if you want to learn more!
