I’m still working on looking at coverage overlap with the second database on our list. Due to the large size of the database, I’m needing to sample titles. I’ve started to search for the first title and last title on the page. (The list of titles was some 200 pages, and I started this strategy after already having checked 30 plus pages of titles.) Since the titles are not numbered and some take up more than one line, it was difficult to count titles to sample, and since the database has journals in more than 40 languages, I wanted to make sure I didn’t favor English titles for sampling. By checking the first and last title on a page, I feel like it’s an objective approach to sampling when it’s difficult to count.
