ya gotta love a school that has a large wall mural of the world map…
Decatur Township Blue Academy held a #STEM night with dozens of stations for 900 attendees to explore. We had four activities for families to experience. We had PVC pipes & connectors for free building, Nurcs & craft sticks, string art, and cardboard cutting tools. (we also set out some laser cut fairy trinkets and string to make a bracelet or necklace). A few teachers volunteered to help with the activities. We were busy for the whole two hours.
I did print some design ideas for the string art. I am glad that I cut some more wood pieces earlier in the day, we ran out of wood (I cut 39 to add to what was already in the box). When I was able to glance up from the cardboard tool station, the other 3 were hopping. For cardboard tools the kids/adults could try out canary knives, cardboard scissors, ZipSnips, and ChompSaw. We were not making anything, just tool testing.
