It is time for the kids to see their Derby Car profiles get laser cut. They also watched/talked about 3D printing the wheels. We had 2 other jobs for them : they needed to cut some dowel rods for axles and pins to use in assembling, and they needed to get some ideas drawn for how they will paint/design their profile (I screenshot and printed out the Lightburn files that had 4 or 5 car profiles on it).
We are getting closer. Still to do is laser cut insides, students decorate their profiles and assemble cars. Then it is race time and data collection.
