Did my first set of printable stickers.
The stickers I bought were Koala Printable Clear Sticker Paper (ONLY for LASER Printer) 20 for $10 On our large printer/scanner/copier the paper setting was “thick 3″ because this paper is 230 gsm. The paper is placed in the bypass tray upside down.
The usable dimensions of a print & cut on an 8.5″ x 11″ is 6.75″ x 9.25” (some places are saying “7.44 by 9.94”) because it needs to print registration marks (those corners). Cricut Design Space will tell you if a single image is too large and can resize to max size. If you have more than one image, it will put overflow onto a second page. Some recommend putting a 6.75×9.25 rectangle on your workspace and fitting your images inside that, then deleting the rectangle.
Maybe I should have gone with a white sticker vs clear…
I used the Cricut default for “Printable Sticker Paper – clear” and it cut alright. It went all the way through. So I wonder how to cut it for a kiss cut (or do I even want that). It was not difficult to peel the sticker off the backing. The hardest parts of the process were getting printer to feed the paper and getting the paper to stick to our Cricut mat (must need washed).
