I went to Linton-Stockton High School this week to see their NearSpace Education balloon launch (& help if they needed). They did recover the payloads somewhere around Salem, in a tree of course. I will be back there soon to see the data that they gathered. It will be interesting to see if this is a cost effective way to gather data and engage students.
I was surprised how thin the tethers lines are and how small the metal clasps connecting them are.
