The Clara Javan Goodbody Award was created in memory of Clara Javan Goodbody, the mother of Louise Ann Goodbody, the Dean of Women from 1906 to 1911. This $2,500 award is given to a graduating senior for use in pursuing graduate study.
For 2025, we are proud to recognize Lauren “Wren” Garcia as the Clara Javan Goodbody Award recipient for her impactful leadership and involvement at IU.

Acknowledgements: “I would like to thank my friends, professors, mentors, and family, but specifically I want to thank my parents, Michelle and Luis Garcia, for making so many sacrifices so I could live a truly exceptional life. I would never have been able to have the privilege to chase my dreams without their love and support.”
