The times, they are a’ changing!
Yesterday was the first day that I transitioned fully to working remotely for all of my IU library positions. I am extremely fortunate that I will be able to keep all of my part time work and my internship, because many students on campus have not been offered the same opportunity. COVID-19 has altered everything on and off campus, and probably will for quite some time.
I met with my boss (via video chat of course!) to discuss what projects I can do so that I can continue to build my skills through the rest of the semester. I will be able to build a lesson for a class who will do a primary source activity as well as make some screencasts the IU Archives can use. These are both great opportunities to build skills I will definitely need in my career, so I am looking forward to them. I am sure working from home will be an adjustment, but I am up for the challenge and happy to do my part by staying home and making sure I don’t unintentionally spread COVID-19.
Until next time!
