Lifelong Learning Hosts Middle and High School Brass Students

IU Southeast’s Lifelong Learning program’s Arts Institute hosted its first annual Low Brass Day for middle and high school students on January 7, 2023 in the Paul W. Ogle Cultural & Community Center.  The day-long event brought 31 music students from Indiana and Kentucky schools to the IU Southeast campus. Chris Schmidt, IU Southeast adjunct instructor of tuba, directed the event which consisted of a warm-up session, masterclasses, a session on instrument maintenance, and ended with a mass ensemble concert.
