Dare to Care and IU Southeast Mental Health and Wellness Seminar Series will present a screening of the documentary,The Working Hungry on Thursday, March 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the Millicent and Norman Stiefler Recital Hall in the Ogle Center. The documentary focuses on food insecurity in Indiana. Following the documentary, a panel discussion will take place featuring Indiana University staff and community members. The panel discussion will be moderated by Angie Fenton, President and CEO, Extol Media, and will include Dr. Julia Valliant, Assistant Research Specialist, Sustainable Food Systems Sciences at Indiana University; Karen Richie, Staff Counselor and Care Manager, adjunct professor, and manager of the South Eats Pantry at IU Southeast; Vincent James, President and CEO, Dare to Care Food Bank; and Emily Weikart Bryant, Executive Director, Feeding Indiana’s Hungry. This is a free event and attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation to the campus food pantry. Presenting sponsor is the New Washington State Bank.
