In April, students in Interviewing Practices and Principles (COMM-S 327) went to Mount St. Francis to experience the low-ropes team-building course, which presented a series of physical and mental challenges that required teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication to overcome. The students encountered obstacles that mirror real-world situations commonly discussed in job interviews, such as overcoming challenges, working under pressure, and demonstrating leadership skills. By actively engaging in these experiences, students can cultivate compelling anecdotes and examples to draw upon during future career interviews. Following the team-building course, students had a mock interview where they incorporated the experience into their responses.
