For 35 years, Circle the State with Song (CSWS) has been an integral part of Indiana’s choral landscape. This program is a statewide choral festival for elementary and junior high/middle school choirs. Nearly 4,000 youth from hundreds of different schools participate in Circle the State each spring at one of 12 sites throughout Indiana. Over 15,000 community members attend these concerts annually. |
At IU Southeast, nearly 270 elementary and middle school students participated in Circle the State with Song Festival held on March 8. More than 800 guests attended the performances Saturday and another 400 guests attended the Louisville Orchestra performance!
Many people expressed that IU Southeast was the best venue they had attended for the festival. Parents and volunteers consistently stated that the venue made it effortless for them. IU Southeast made this event an amazing experience for the students. The incredible talent and dedication of the team, and support of campus colleagues made pulling off the Circle the State with Song Festival possible!
