A puppet show to learn about cultural diversity, presented by Charles Aaron Nasby, IUS theatre technical director was held on November 20 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at University Center North.
Master Storyteller and Puppeteer Charles Nasby used sustainable materials found within your home or classroom to tell stories. This fun event encouraged the use of discarded and repurposed materials with heaps of imagination. Charles shared a simple formula to start and strengthen storytelling skills in puppetry, while learning about Japanese Bunraku other forms of puppetry that exists in the world.
International Education Week (Nov. 18-22, 2024) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
At IU Southeast, the week’s activities were part of ongoing efforts to promote initiatives that prepare students to successfully be part of a global environment. The office of Study Abroad and Global Awareness brought a week of both fun and thought-provoking activities.
