In January, students in Small Group and Team Communication (COMM-S 229) met at Big Four Escape in Jeffersonville, where they were tasked with solving puzzles and deciphering clues within a limited timeframe to “escape” the room. The excursion served as practical application of course content, allowing them to experience the importance of clear communication, problem-solving, creative thinking, and adaptability in a team setting. Overall, the escape room activity served as a dynamic and engaging way for students to reinforce their teamwork and critical thinking skills, while having fun and bonding as a team.
