I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in July 2018 from the Department of Astronomy, and am now a postdoctoral associate. I work on simulations of globular star clusters (an example of a globular cluster is M13 in the Hercules constellation). As globular clusters are nearly as old as our Galaxy and our Universe, studying them gives us more insight into the astronomical conditions of billions of years ago. Science was one of my favorite subjects growing up, and I wanted to major in something interesting during my undergraduate studies, so that's how I ended up in Astronomy.
