I initially studied biology with a focus in marine biology/conservation and wildlife genetics. During that time, I found a passion for science and environmental education which is what I am currently studying in my doctoral program. I have loved working in both formal and informal education environments and look forward to seeing where science education leads me next. Besides keeping busy with the amount of work that comes with graduate school, I spend my time in this region of the country, far away from my beloved ocean, exploring the midwest with my little dog Penny.
