October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM)! We recently hosted a webinar presented by TIAA’s Chris Hilinski (Lead Information Security Manager) who discussed how to establish a “security-positive” mindset and increased cyber awareness. To enable you to get the most out of your NCSAM programming, he provided best practices for creating casual yet informative learning models that encompass present threats that organizations face daily. Successful NCSAM programming not only raises awareness, but it also encourages and empowers individuals throughout your organization to feel like partners in cybersecurity, no matter their area of expertise.
Co-led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA), NCSAM is an effort to provide resources to keep Americans safer and more secure online. This year’s theme is “See Yourself in Cyber” and is focused on how practicing just a few cybersecurity basics can make a huge difference in keeping data protected.
