Perhaps the most rewarding part of this project has been the opportunity to apply my EAD skills. I have worked with EAD minimally in the past, but have not done very much encoding on my own. I took the Z603 EAD workshop with Juliet Hardesty last semester and was happy with the work I produced, so I was particularly excited to continue building these skills.
As of right now, I am focusing on the parts that are not the inventory; this will be the biggest chuck of the EAD. I was given a BFC/A specific template and I am consulting both the IU EAD documentation and the tag library published by the Library of Congress. I am getting good feedback on my EAD work, so there is little else to report at this time.
