We asked our student ambassadors to share their favorite study spots on campus.
Kate Colpetzer, Health Services Management student
I wanted to share my favorite study spot on campus. I often go to the Honors College student lounge to get long study periods in, but when I’m out and about, I like to go to the second floor of the Campus Center. There are lots of tables for alone study or with groups of friends. You can easily leave and take the tubes to get to another class, so you are not far away from everything. Plus, you can always pick up a tasty drink from Caribou Coffee!
Lucy Khatib, Epidemiology student
The university library is one of my favorite spots on campus. Recently, I have been using the reserve a room feature to have a set place for my study group.
With midterms happening this tool is a lifesaver. I also love studying with the view of the Indianapolis skyline!
Jaida Speth, Health Services Management student
My favorite study spots on campus are the IU Natatorium and the fourth floor of the IUPUI library.
The “Nat” has always been a favorite of mine because of the sound of the running water. Many psychological studies have suggested that the sound of running water can positively impact our minds! It relaxes my mind and puts me in a good headspace to get homework done.
The library’s fourth floor was one of the first spots I studied at when I first got to campus in 2018. It has one of the best views on campus, and I tend to get my best work done there. It is an academic-centered environment and the resources at the library are incredible.
