Want to promote positive employee relations and take advantage of opportunities in the workplace to better enhance your skills as a leader?
IU employees can do so by registering for two campus-provided trainings, coordinated by IU’s Human Resources Department.
The Legal Compliance Series for Supervisors is an opportunity for all supervisors to receive training on employee protection laws enacted by federal and state legislatures. Full time employees are eligible to register for this four-week training on legal compliance.
Supervisors will be provided with knowledge about laws concerning EEO, FMLA, Worker’s Compl, FLSA, and more.
The training hopes to:
- ensure employees all the protections afforded to them under these laws
- ensure consistent application of these laws across the university
- promote positive employee relations
- prevent or limit situations that may put the university at risk.
IU classes are open to any IU employee in a supervisory or managerial position. To register for each session of the Legal Compliance Series, visit here.
New and veteran employees that wish to improve performance and develop themselves professionally and personally can sign up for Excellence Training Certification for Support Staff (ETC).

Some topics covered in the ETC program are:
- Managing multiple priorities
- PsychoGeometrics assessment
