A couple of days ago, I touched down in Indianapolis after an eight-week study abroad program to London, United Kingdom, and Amsterdam, The Netherlands, studying the public health systems of each respective country. If I could summarize my study abroad experience in one word, it would be the following: breathtaking.
I am thrilled at the new knowledge I have of healthcare systems, learning about multiple cultures, and being able to attend multiple excursions. From the Roman Baths to Stonehenge, and from Utrecht to Field Day Festival, I was able to learn about cultures from multiple perspectives. On top of this, I was able to make a weekend trip to Florence, Italy, and learn about Italian culture as well.
Based upon my studies and new knowledge of cultures, I can truly state that studying abroad has benefitted me in ways I did not know. Now, I have friends from multiple college institutions, whom I shall never forget, experiences to share with others, and memories for a lifetime.
I cannot wait to visit Europe again!
