One breath-taking opportunity that this class did afford was the chance to get to walk among the treetops of a rain forest. Never before had I stepped foot inside of a “rain forest” and to say the least it was truly eye-opening. The picture above is of one of the walkways we traveled across and trusted to hold us up at 200+ feet in the air. This wonderful canopy walkway was located in the Kakum national park. Our guide said that wildlife was abundant and also that we wouldn’t be able to see any large animals. I didn’t really mind as seeing a leopard while also being suspended in the air with only a thin and skinny wooden board would have probably been too much. I can honestly say that this was one of the most unique and wonderful attractions on the trip. If any of you reading this have the opportunity to get on the canopy walkway in the Kakum national forest, I would highly recommend it.
