Kakum Rainforest was beautiful. Although I did not consider myself an outdoorsy person, I had a lot of fun going through the canopy walk. Even if someone was afraid of heights, this fear usually goes away once you are on the canopy walk. Having friends with you during the walk also lessens the fear. For me, once I was on the canopy walk, I did not even remember that I wasn’t touching the ground. Primarily because the view made me forget that I didn’t like heights. From above, the view was breath-taking. There were so many different types of trees and birds to observe. Unfortunately, I did not get to see an elephant, but apparently there were 150 of them at the rain forest. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to come back again to see some of the animals. However, if I were to return, I would do the night hike. During the night hike, tourists could see some of the different animals that roamed around the forest. If heights were still not for you, there were local shops to buy souvenirs from and welcoming individuals to interact with. In all, Kakum Rainforest was a beautiful and unique place to visit.
