This Blog is aimed to share both international and domestic students’ diverse and valuable perspectives, and help to create a more welcoming and inclusive environment in O’Neill school! Below are the three main programs we are operating this school year.
The O’Neill Global Talk is a project that designed to serve as a platform to share international students’ experience and insights, enhance the connection and communication between international students and O’Neill school, highlight the distinguished international students, and promote cultural exchange within O’Neill. Our two Graduate Assistants, Stacey and Vicky, will conduct face-to-face interviews with invited O’Neill faculty, staff, or international students, and will release the report bi-weekly. Besides the questions we prepared for you, you are very welcome to share your own ideas, and of course! we will ask you the follow-up questions based on what you share as well. The Monthly Cultural Showcase is an exhibition series themed on the countries that our international students come from. Each month, grad and undergrad students who are from the same country or region will be invited to hold a table at the second-floor atrium to present photos, music and/or other representative artworks from their country. Everyone in O’Neill would be invited to participate. Stay tuned!! The show is on your way!!

Become an O’Neill International Student Ambassadors today!!
O’Neill International Student Ambassadors (OISA) will work with Assistant Director of International Students Experience, and Master’s Program Office or Undergrad Program Office, to create a more welcoming environment within O’Neill for international students. The ambassadors will be matched with international prospective students who are from the same country or region, or speak the same language as the ambassadors. OISA will offer prospective students an insight into the experience as an O’Neill international student. Moreover, OISA will serve as the liaison between the school and current international students and help O’Neill staff and faculty to better understand the cultural differences between the U.S. and the students’ home countries, and reinforce O’Neill school’s commitment to value and respect the diversity of cultures.
