Gladys Flynn (1922-2012) was born and raised near Russiaville, Indiana and worked as a sculptor and painter in Kokomo, Indiana. Growing up during the Great Depression meant there was little money for formal training for youth, however Flynn was very successful as an artist. Her work has been accepted in the Hoosier Salon, as well as the Kokomo Art Association shows, earning her many Best of Show honors.
