Erzulie Dantor (or Ezili Dantor) is a Haitian spirit of motherhood, specifically single motherhood, from the spirit family Erzulie. She is thought to be a fierce protector of women and children and is often identified with lesbian women. Erzulie Dantor is most commonly represented by the image of Black Madonna of Czestochowa and her symbols are a pierced heart and knives or swords.
