Abigail Rorer (b. 1949) was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania and studied printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design. Following her graduation, Rorer worked as an illustrator for a number of commercial presses and publishing houses, illustrating works for many authors including Henry David Thoreau. To date, Rorer is a respected silverpoint artist, wood engraver, and printmaker and is still active in Lone Oak Press.
