The doctoral discussion will open to all IU Maurer’s doctoral students to discuss their academic, career, and publication plans together.
As a current SJD Student, Kathy Kim will share her first-year experience at IU Maurer. She will talk about how she takes classes concerning her dissertation topic. She will further explore how she has developed her dissertation by interacting with her advisors and colleagues and learning different theoretical approaches. Kathy Kim’s experience taking classes, participating in the SJD roundtable, and working on an area closely related to her dissertation should help current SJD students shape their academic journey at IU Maurer.
