Join the Indiana University Marching Hundred for High School Band Day during IU Football’s Home Opener of the 2025 Season!
Registration Form (Registration Closes July 15, 2025)
Upon receipt of your registration form, an invoice will be sent to you for the cost of registration and payment instructions.
- Participation is limited to 1,000 total performers. If registered performers reach this capacity prior to July 15, 2025, registration will close early.
- Each band will be provided additional tickets for staff, chaperones (maximum 30) and parents (total number of guests to not exceed the total number of performers).
- Additional tickets can be purchased from the IU Ticket Office.

- Payment must be received in full by August 1, 2025
Registration Fees
The registration fee covers parking, performer tickets, staff tickets, chaperone and guest tickets, and all music and choreography.
Registration Fees: Bands (Winds, Color Guard, Twirlers, Drumline)
- 1-50: $150
- 51-100: $200
- 101-150: $250
- 151-200: $300
- 201-250: $350
- 251-300: $400
- 301-350: $450
- 351-400: $500
Registration Fees: Dance Teams
- 1-15: $50
- 16+: $100
Schedule
The schedule will be released after the kick-off time has been announced! The general format for the day is structured as:
- 7 Hours Before Kick-Off: Bands Arrive and Check-In at Mellencamp Pavillion
- 6.5 Hours Before Kick-Off: Pre-Staging Rehearsal on Mellencamp Pavillion Practice Field
- 5.5 Hours Before Kick-Off: Combined Rehearsal with the Marching Hundred inside Memorial Stadium
- Break for Meals
- 2.5 Hours before Kick-Off: Marching Hundred’s “The Walk” Concert on the West Side of Assembly Hall
- 1 Hour Before Kick-Off: Marching Hundred’s “March to the Stadium“
- 30 Minutes Before Kick-Off: All Bands in Stadium Seats for Marching Hundred’s Pregame Show
- Start of the Second Quarter: Bands depart for Mellencamp Pavillion
- 6:00 on the Clock: Bands move to pre-staging position for halftime
- 0:00 (Halftime): Bands move quickly to position (EAST facing) for performance
- After Half-Time: Bands can either choose to stay for the remainder of the game or depart

Half-Time Format
- At the start of the 2nd Quarter, return to Mellencamp Pavillion
- The bands will travel to their pre-staging location with 6:00 left in the second half.
- Once the clock hits 0:00, move quickly to your on-field location, facing the EAST stands.
- MARCHING HUNDRED DRUM MAJOR: Attention Whistle, Horns Up Sequence, Whistle Sequence
- Soul Man – Blues Brothers [Color Guard Feature]
- MARCHING HUNDRED DRUM MAJOR: About Face Whistle, 8 Drum Taps, Bands now face the WEST stands. Horns Up Sequence, Whistle Sequence
- Thunderstruck – AC/DC [Dance Feature]
- MARCHING HUNDRED DRUM MAJOR: Horns Up Sequence, Whistle Sequence

- High School Bands will play up to Letter B of Indiana, Our Indiana, and will then exit the field to the nearest sideline and then exit towards the same stadium entrance they came through.

Uniforms
- Feel free to wear what your band/dance team regularly performs in, as long as the attire is uniform. The Marching Hundred will be in full uniform, unless there is excessive heat. There will be time for you to change at Mellencamp Pavillion.
General Information
- Meals/Food/Beverages: Meals are on your own. You may choose to eat at the Memorial Stadium concessions, after gates open, or have something catered/provided. Food and Drink are not permitted inside Mellencamp Pavillion or on the Practice Field.
- Water: Every member should plan to provide their own clear plastic water bottle. Members should bring a full container of water to the game day rehearsal. Individuals can bring a sealed, clear plastic water bottle into the stadium. There will be filling stations near your seats once you are inside the stadium.
- Clear Bag Policy: Participating High School Bands, Chaperones, and Staff must follow Indiana University’s Clear Bag Policy for anything that they bring into the stadium.
- Seating: Sit in your assigned seating section only. Do not overflow into adjacent seating sections.
- Departure: Bands are welcome to leave any time after halftime.
- In the Stadium: Bands should not play anytime in/around the stadium except for designated rehearsals and the halftime performance. This includes ‘marching in’ to the game day rehearsal.
