This week was more of the same; specifically, I focused on scanning more broadsides. The BookEye was still having some issues from last week where it was running into space limitations, so we weren’t doing a whole lot of work with that system so we didn’t have to fuss with clearing out storage. The broadsides I worked with this week were primarily from Latin America (most were from Mexico) and were in Spanish. Luckily I speak and read Spanish so I thought working with the collection was still pretty interesting. Some of the broadsides were in pretty rough shape, with most having large chunks missing. One of the goofiest things I ran into was part of the broadsides collection, but the print only took up a tiny portion of the flyer/page.

I’m not sure if this page (and the page before it) was just a test page or if they had sent the information to the printer in this format before it was fully printed as an actual broadside, but the spacing and size of the page made me laugh so I thought I’d share it. Luckily there were no more instances of equipment going rogue or working improperly, so it was a fairly quiet week!
