A recent study by Kinsey Institute researchers and colleagues compared the sex lives of lesbian women and heterosexual women to better understand differences in sexual frequency and sexual satisfaction. Although lesbian women had sex less frequently and those in longterm relationships reported a steeper decline in sexual frequency than heterosexual women, more lesbian women reported being sexually satisfied, and lesbian women engaged in more intimate behaviors and orgasmed more frequently than heterosexual women.
