Departures
With the rhythm of the academic year bringing new faculty and graduate students to our staff, it also sees our postgraduate fellows and associates moving on to new positions. Dr. Will Kenkel has begun a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at University of Delaware, and Dr. Tania Reynolds has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of New Mexico. We wish them both good luck!
Donor Updates
The Kinsey Institute has received a $290,000 joint gift from the USABP and the Dillon Fund to further the work fo the KI-TSRC. Read more about this gift.
Kinsey Institute staff and faculty were saddened at the loss earlier this year of Dr. Eric Trefelner, a frequent visitor and generous donor to the institute. In 2013, following the death of his husband Paul Percovic, Dr. Trefelner donated materials to establish the Paul Percovic collection at the Institute. The collection has grown over the years to include documents, artifacts, personal stories, films, and photographs documenting their lives together, and new items are currently being processed. We are also grateful to Eric’s family for a generous gift from his estate.
We regret the loss of another friend of the Institute in June – Dr. Arthur Myers, a physician and skilled fine art photographer who took beautiful, inspiring portraits of breast-cancer survivors. Read more about Dr. Myers and his work.
