The Kinsey Institute Library & Special Collections have recently welcomed additions including a new staff member and two new graduate student assistants.
Please welcome our new Library Services Coordinator, Caitlyn Nicholson. Caitlyn is an Indiana University alumna, graduating in 2015 with a degree in Telecommunications. She has worked in the IU Libraries system since 2011: at the Wells Library as a student, and later at the Main Library Circulation desk.
As Library Services Coordinator, Caitlyn works with researchers and students to facilitate their use the of the research collections at the Kinsey Institute, including locating research materials, answering inquiries, and scheduling and managing on-site visits. She also assists other collections staff with collections processing and digitization. Visitors to our newly renovated Reading Room in Lindley Hall will find her on-hand at the library department desk.
The Kinsey Institute Library & Special Collections provide mentorship and practical work experience to students pursuing Library Science and Information Science degrees at Indiana University.
We are thrilled to introduce our new collections graduate assistants: Sarah Prause and Jay Gentry. Sarah and Jay assist our collections staff in cataloguing and digitizing items from the research collection and processing donations of archival materials.
Sarah is a 3rd year graduate student pursuing a joint Master of Library Science and Master of Information Science degree with a specialization in archives and records management.
Jay is also in their 3rd year pursuing a joint Master of Library Science and Master of Information Science degree with a specialization in rare books and manuscripts.
