Pianist Meeyoun Park has performed to critical acclaim throughout the United States and abroad as a soloist, duo pianist, and collaborator, having played in important venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center. A highly sought-after collaborative pianist, her musical versatility has led to associations with the Korean National Opera, the Indiana University Opera Theater, and with many renowned singers and instrumentalists. A native of Seoul, Korea, Dr. Park graduated from Yonsei University and I.U. Her primary teachers include Karen Shaw, Bong-Ae Shin, Sung Yup Hwang, and Yunghae Chun. Dr. Park currently serves as Associate Professor of piano at Murray State University in Kentucky. Prior to her appointment at Murray State, she served as a staff accompanist at Oberlin and DePauw University. In 2017, Dr. Park joined the faculty of the Indiana University Piano Academy, and she regularly serves as a master class clinician and guest adjudicator in competitions across the country.
