Pianist Gregory Wang has earned top prizes in national and international competition, including the 2017 Teresa Carreño Master Piano Competition, 2013 MTNA Steinway & Sons Young Artist Competition, and the 2011 International Russian Music Competition. He has garnered special distinctions from many institutions, including Indiana University Performer’s Certificate and the Oberlin College Louis Sudler Prize, and he was chosen to represent the latter school with solo performances at the Kennedy Center and Cleveland’s Severance Hall.
Mr. Wang holds a Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin College Conservatory under the tutelage of Peter Takács as well as a Master of Music, Performer’s Certificate, and Artist Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School while studying under Jean-Louis Haguenauer. He is a doctoral candidate and the current assistant to Menahem Pressler. He also integrates his passion for cinematography, photography, and audio recording into his musical life and work.
