ABOUT HALLIE GEYH
Prior to her position with the Jacobs School of Music, Hallie was a photo retoucher for a fashion magazine in NYC, and apprenticed visual artists in the South of France. She also worked as a social media freelancer and consultant for fitness studios and as a Social Media Specialist at SociallyUp, a social media firm in Bloomington. In 2016, Hallie became Director of Marketing for a start-up in Indianapolis. In that position she helped build the brand from the beginning and used social media to tell the brand’s story. She also led out team to the final round of the INX3 challenge (a competition to receive funding for tech start-ups in the Midwest). When Hallie moved on to pay-per-click marketing — as a Social Media Manager, and Online Reputation Specialist — at a fortune five hundred company, she became well-versed in digital advertising and promoting online reputation. She then accepted a position as Project Specialist and Graphic Designer for the Provost’s office at Indiana University, creating graphics, photos and videos for social media, and assisting the communications team with a wide variety of projects. At the Jacobs School of Music, as the Communications Digital manager, Hallie has worked to transform the School’s social media into a creative and innovative platforms that boasts more consistency, and which aim to spread information, to educate and to entertain.
A fun fact: Upon moving to Bloomington in 1999, Hallie began taking violin lessons with Professor Mimi Zweig through the pre-college string program at the Jacobs School of Music. Her love of performance and music was born out of this early introduction to the School, which has followed her throughout college. This is what motivated her to pursue a career at the IU Jacobs School of Music as the Communications Digital Manager.
