He is an Associate Instructor for the choral conducting department at the Jacobs School of Music and an adjunct member of the voice faculty of Anderson (IN) University. A compelling and insightful leader, he founded the vocal ensemble Vox Reflexa, which has been steadily performing virtuosic sacred polyphony throughout the Mid-west and recently completed a tour in Quito, Ecuador for the X Festival Internacional: Música Sacra.
Vox Reflexa New Millennium Composer’s Forum CD Project
In late 2010, Vox Reflexa sent out a call for scores of music composed after 2000 with the intention of promoting American composers of choral music. Upon receiving over 100 scores, they settled on 12 works that they thought best exemplified the elements of vocal chamber music. With a core of dedicated singers and composers, they are currently in the process of recording all of the winning pieces and producing a CD. The New Millennium Composer’s Forum’s success will be testimonial that all the music industry needs is passionate and dedicated artists, not big budgets. In this time of economic downturn, musicians can use their creativity to survive and even flourish!
