SOUNDTRACK OF THE WEEK #25 – Assassin’s Creed II (Music by Jesper Kyd)
Often debated to be one of, if not the
, best game in the series, Assassin’s Creed II ran with the fuse lit by its predecessor and exploded the series forward in full force. While many fell in love with Assassin’s Creed for its stealth, combat, and story, I personally found the series through its music. Across the AC games, there is a goldmine of video game music, thanks in no small part to that from Jesper Kyd. Many of these games have incredible themes and other cues, but I chose to feature Assassin’s Creed II this week because of the iconic “Ezio’s Family” track, which has become one of the most well-known musical themes in the history of video games. I hope you enjoy taking a listen to this week’s highlights (and hopefully the entire album!).
