SOUNDTRACK OF THE WEEK #24 – Schedule I (Music by KAESUL)
Schedule I is a goofy crime and . . . gardening . . . simulator focused on gameplay with management mechanics in order to expand your resources. The game went viral online following its March 24th release, though I found myself without the interest or time to play it myself, so I was thrown for a loop when I listened to the soundtrack and discovered an addictive collection of music. Most of the tracks have a cozy and laid-back atmosphere, some having similarities with the lo-fi genre, while a few others bring the tempo up for more intensity. The sound palette often creates a relaxed aesthetic, using strains of synth pads and synth leads, with the occasional appearance of guitar, making the rare inclusions of percussion and rough bass synths all the more stimulating! I’ve found the soundtrack to make great study or work music as well, although maybe that isn’t useful during the summer break . . . I hope you’ll check it out!
