Pro Cantare is a chamber choir specifically created to serve undergraduate sopranos and altos, helping them develop and hone ensemble, musical, and vocal skills in a focused, small-group setting. In any given school year, Pro Cantare is led by a faculty member one semester and conducted by a mentored first-year doctoral student in the other semester. Past conductors have included graduate students Michelle Kwok and Caio Lopes, and faculty member Betsy Burleigh. Gabriel Fanelli will conduct the group in Fall of 2023 with Dr. Carolann Buff, faculty mentor. Dr. Dominick DiOrio will conduct the group in Spring 2024.
