Members of the Jacobs Student ACDA Chapter

Members of the Jacobs School of Music – Student American Choral Directors Association chapter were thrilled to receive the news that they were selected as IU’s Student Organization of the Year!

“We are so thankful for this recognition and it could not have been done without the support of our amazing faculty here at Jacobs” stated IU chapter president Madelyn Merrell. The IU Chapter is mentored by Dr. Chris Albanese, Pam and Jack Burks Assistant Professor of Choral Conducting and Director of The Singing Hoosiers.

And good news kept on coming. Additionally, they were selected as 2nd Runner Up for the Leadership Development Award, 2nd Runner Up for the Community Building Award, 1st Runner Up for the Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Award, and 1st Runner Up for Up-and-Coming Student Leader, Helen Pilkington.
