Hello to all of our newly admitted students! My name is Ashley Chilla and I am the Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid here at the Jacobs School of Music. I was also the person behind the microphone during our audition dates (as a former actor, this is one of my favorite parts about audition days!).
We have officially finished our in-person auditions and interviews for the 2024 audition season. It was such a pleasure getting to meet you all during your time here. We hope you got to enjoy the school, the campus, and the beautiful city of Bloomington, IN.
With most of our auditions and interviews wrapping up, we are hard at work admitting applicants and working on scholarships (more to come on that soon!). Many of you have reached out about how to officially accept or decline your admission. When you do receive scholarship information from our office (this will begin in late March), you will also receive a link to our Jacobs enrollment response form. That is where you will be able to officially accept your offer of admission and your scholarship package. For our undergraduate admits, please remember you must fill out both the Jacobs enrollment response form and IU’s enrollment response form.
Speaking of IU’s undergraduate enrollment response form, I’m sure most of you are aware that IU has extended it’s enrollment decision deadline date to May 15 due to the delay in FAFSA information. The Jacobs School of Music will also follow this decision deadline as well. For graduate students, your enrollment decision deadline will be April 15 as outlined in your admission letter.
We are here to help! If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know!
All my best,
Ashley
